Just another blog on the internet…
Believe it or not, this is the first one I’ve ever done. Although my first pages on the internet stemmed from GeoCities, I tended to have skipped the blogsphere. Now, in its age of less relevance, I can admit I feel a bit nostalgic to the older ways of the internet. Today we have real time chat like Discord, Facebook for social, but I find there is a gap between the new tools and their instant gratification and the older technologies that seem a better medium to persist memories and pass down knowledge.
Which brings me to my motivations for this site.
- Keep a diary of my flying and my flying experiences through ownership
- Have a medium where I can put to pen and paper the topics I learn about
- Have something that my son can reference when he is older
- Hopefully help others on their journey of experiences within aviation.
Through the actual posts I hope to keep them relatively short and easy to consume. A lot of the topics will be biased towards Southern California as it is the most relevant. As I explore different areas, I hope to catalogue the important planning pieces and illustrate what each airport has to offer through the lens of recreational flying.
